1. What Naruho Does

Naruho is a location-based discovery app for iOS that surfaces short, AI-generated stories and audio narrations about landmarks and places around you. The App is available on the Apple App Store.

2. Free and Pro Tiers

Naruho is free to download and use, with daily limits on the number of place discoveries, camera snaps, and AI plans you can create. Naruho Pro removes those limits, unlocks studio-quality narration, and includes the ambient walking mode (currently shipped as BETA), which plays soft music as you walk and triggers short stories when you pass a point of interest. Pro also unlocks the Ask the guide feature inside ambient sessions, with a daily cap on the number of questions, and access to opt-in proximity story notifications.

Naruho Pro is offered with a 3-day free trial on weekly and annual plans. The trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. A lifetime option is available as a one-time purchase and is not subject to renewal.

All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Your Privacy

Naruho does not operate its own servers. Your location is sent to OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, and Anthropic to discover and describe nearby places. Subscription data is processed by RevenueCat. Pro audio narration is generated by OpenAI through a Naruho-operated proxy. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

4. Content Disclaimer

Stories and audio narrations are AI-generated for educational and entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee accuracy. Always verify important information from official sources before relying on it.

5. Acceptable Use

Use Naruho only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not attempt to reverse engineer the App, scrape generated content at scale, or use it in ways that compromise the safety of yourself or others (for example, while driving).

The Ask the guide feature is designed to answer place-related questions about the landmark or area you are walking past. Attempts to use it to generate unrelated content, to extract model-level behaviour, or to bypass the topic classifier may result in the feature being rate-limited or revoked for your installation. The same applies to abuse of the AI Plan feature or the Snap to Discover feature.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Naruho is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Naruho and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or harm arising from your use of the App or reliance on its AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including statutory consumer rights in the EU and UK).

7. Apple App Store Terms

Naruho is licensed to you under the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Naruho after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.
